Whether you love them or hate them, they are back. I’ve jumped on the bandwagon and bought a navy blue short pair from Ark which should be arriving this week! One of my favourite style icons Alexa Chung has had a bit of a dungaree fetish so this year and has been photographed in several different pairs. This is probably my favourite look here. Topshop and asos have some great options at the moment.

This is a fairly unknown brand which is part of the H&M group. It focuses on design led pieces and quality basics. I was extremely impressed with the beautiful range of jewellery. I try to always look for pieces that look more expensive than they are and & other stories really delivers on this and is not too unreasonable price wise.  The website is easy to navigate and they have a nice feature; when you click on an item, further down the page, other items in the store in the same ‘story’ are suggested. Stories could mean the same pattern, colour ways, trends or materials. I would definatley recommend here if your looking for something a bit out of the ordinary. They also have a store on Regent Street in London which I shall look forward to visiting when im down next.

I discovered this amazing little Aladdin’s cave a couple of weekends ago and could not believe it was right on my doorstep! They sell beautiful second hand furniture that has been revived with a rub down and coat of paint. They also have two trailers full of items in their original state to do what you like with, as they also supply the chalk paint to do it yourself if you wish.

Bringsty Vintage Living is based on Bringsty common on the A44 out towards bromyard, if your local to the Worcestershire area I would really recommend going to have a nosey! Heres their website and a link to their facebook page.

I’m having my room re-decorated this week and I’m hoping  give it a little refresh so it looks less like a 16 year old’s bedroom. I have spent the last week or so pulling together some colour palettes, fabrics and furnishings that I’d like to fill it with. Heres my little moodboard… I will post picture when its all done!

Photo Bunting

I love the FreePeople blog and I spotted this nice little DIY idea the other week. Very simple but effective and would be lovely for birthday parties coming up in the new year! Just print off some of your favourite pictures onto regular printer paper, cut them into triangle shapes and attach them all to a length of ribbon or string. What could be easier!

A couple of months ago I was given the opportunity at work to help make some props and style the photoshoot for the AW12 collection for the childrens-wear brand FG4. The concept was based on enchanted woodland and the moodboard images inspired me to make some floral head-dresses from some silk flowers I had at home. So here are the finalised images that went live on the website on Thursday take a look here for the  whole lookbook. I was so pleased that the buyers loved the head-dresses and I really enjoyed being involved in the photo shoot and the kids were so lovely to work with. Our company received a lot of praise for the final imagery from the buyers which was amazing! Some people have been telling me I should sell the headbands so if you are interested leave a comment below!!
