Whether you love them or hate them, they are back. I’ve jumped on the bandwagon and bought a navy blue short pair from Ark which should be arriving this week! One of my favourite style icons Alexa Chung has had a bit of a dungaree fetish so this year and has been photographed in several different pairs. This is probably my favourite look here. Topshop and asos have some great options at the moment.

(January is horrible isn’t it ? 5 weeks long!!) I was inspired by style blogger Morven Watson who is pictured below (really recommend her blog by the way check it out here! Her outfits are right up my street). I would suggest to wear your collar with a dress or outfit that is as simple as the necklace for effortless elegance. All the details and links to where you can purchase the necklaces from are below.

Read MoreA couple of weeks ago my friend and I ventured into the Topshop Cheltenham store. Rather than searching through the messy sale rails, we headed straight to the new season stock. Now I’m not usually one for buying jeans, but when I tried these babies on I couldn’t help but be seduced! The fit is amazing, they stay “skinny” all the way down to the ankle and don’t need hitching up every 2 minutes. I held off buying then as I thought they probably would be in for quite a while but this weekend I couldn’t wait any longer and decided on buying them in the Raspberry colour at the Worcester Topshop. I think I definatley will see what other shades they bring them out in and invest in another pair (cough a really light lilac colour would be great- thanks Toppers). Check out all the colour ways available here prices range between £38.00 to £45.00 for their metallic version if your feeling brave! If anyone is interested; featured below are the raspberry, emerald, apricot and turquoise shades. Perfect for the brights trend that is going to be big this SS12.

When I’m shopping for gifts I like to look for something that is tailored to the person I’m buying for and love to find items that are a little bit different from your generic high street gifts. I have done pretty much all my shopping online for the first time this year and it was so easy! The only thing which you need to watch out for is the postage and packaging which can sometimes be very over priced. It pays to shop around and see if the same item is available on other online stores that do offer free or cheaper postage. I would also recommend looking at some of the newspaper’s Christmas gift guides as they have some great ideas and they’ve already done all the hard work for you by categorising into gifts for her, gifts for gardeners, gifts for gadget lovers etc. I would recommend the Telegraph and Guardian. Below are some of my gift ideas from interesting online stores that I came across over the weekend.
1.Initial Cup £22.00 – Notonthehighstreet
2.Tartan Headband £6.00 – Olive
3. Key Hook £24.00 – Anthropologie
4.USB Dog – £15.00 - Science Museum

OPI have collaborated with the Muppets Film to create a New collection of Polishes. Of course I was immediately drawn to the glittery one, Rainbow Collection. I was very tempted by the glittery one from their Alice in Wonderland collaboration last year but didn’t end up purchasing it in the end. They retail for around £12.00, which I would normally never pay for a polish but this one is a little bit special! I got mine from a re-seller on eBay by just searching for the muppets polishes and the polish name. Apologies for my really wrinkly hands in the one coat and two coats pictures, let your attention be drawn to the polish not the hands! I would recommend two coats with this. The first coat looked very sparse when first applied but if you want MORE glitter – as I did- definitely go for the second coat! I used MODELS OWN – Concrete Mixer before applying the OPI polish. Then I used a coat of clear polish over the top to fix it in place. This is perfect for the festive season!

Unfortunatley this is bad news for my bank balance but great news that I can browse their new pieces from the comfort of my home. I do still throughly recommend visiting their shop in Cheltenham. The site’s layout is lovely, nice imagery, great styling suggestions, clean & simple theme and very easy to navigate around. I can’t wait to see what else appears on there over the next few months!
